Stunning piece! The muted colors help the climber stand out more in his red. His pose draws the eyes up to the lightning machine/ factory built into the mountains, calling for the viewer to take a closer look at all the finer details.

The mist and the fog from the man's breath help the colors tell the viewer how cold it is, and the lighting is breathtaking. The lightning itself is well-rendered, as well.

As they say, a picture tells a thousand words; the story is readily apparent (or easy enough to guess) simply from looking at it. This man has discovered something that no one could have imagined existed. Mountain Climber Dude: I think you need to head back down, or find another mountain.

I also think the person in the foreground doesn't quite fit in the scene. I'd like to see some sci-fi solider/robot/explorer/whatever. Don't get me wrong, I like the concept, and the lightning thing is epic :la:

Fantastic work, as always. The textures and details are amazing. However, I think sometimes your work can tend to get a little bland because you have a habit of making landscapes that are bright in the center and darken as they go your gallery sometimes look like a repeat of the same picture in different colors. I think experimenting with multiple and varied light sources, and perhaps more types of objects (less rock and technology and perhaps other things instead) will help vary your gallery and make each piece more unique.
